Every large city in the United States offers a variety of sports. From ice hockey to football and baseball, you are likely to find plenty of sports being offered to both tourists and locals alike. Golf is one of those sports, which wasn’t at first a US sport, but was quickly adopted and today, some of the most iconic golf clubs and courses are in the United States.
The city of Las Vegas is known for plenty of things, namely gambling, which was legal only in Las Vegas for a while, particularly sports betting. But, Vegas also has plenty of lovely golf courses so here they are, in no particular order.
Bali Hai Golf Club
There is nothing like golfing in the middle of the Strip, the large boulevard full of casinos and hotels. While others are spending their money away, you are hitting golf balls and enjoying your vacation. The Bali Hai club has exceptional staff which will always take care of you, as well as a golf course which is always taken care of so that you can have a great day. Sand, palm trees and green as far as the eyes can see and you might even think that you are not in Vegas if not for the Strip.
Royal Links Golf Club
Visiting all the golf clubs in the UK which have all the iconic holes and courses is really difficult if you are on a budget. This is why you should visit the Royal Links Golf Club in Vegas and try some of those iconic holes out. Each of the holes is a very convincing copy of the original holes from the iconic British courses. Try the club out and you might get inspired to travel to the UK next.
The Paiute Golf Resort
Located far away from the Strip, yet still in Vegas territory, the Paiute Golf Resort is the first golf club built on native American soil. It is a three-course resort, each of which will be an interesting challenge for any golfer. Given that it is away from the noise of the city, one can actually relax when visiting this resort.
Las Vegas National Golf Club
This golf club is close to the Strip, meaning that you won’t have to travel a lot to get to it. It has a traditional golf course with lots of trees and bushes, sand traps and water where you expect it. The fairways are beautiful and the green is precisely trimmed. This club is the location where Tiger Woods got his first PGA Tour victory back in 1996.
Cascata Golf Club
This club is special because it is near a mountain, close enough for the mountain’s peaks and surrounding landscape to make a difference in the scenery. With that in mind, the name itself has a meaning, waterfall in Italian. There is, of course, a waterfall on the course, making the atmosphere much more interesting.
Vegas is a city that offers so much to the visitor, from gambling and neon lights, to golf courses. There are many courses and clubs in Vegas, both in the city, for those who do not want to wander, as well as courses outside the city, for those who get tired of the city lights and noise.
